Any advice on the idea switching from Tymlos to forteo after a year ?
1) Is there any data regarding stopping Tymlos after a year and switching to forteo for the second year? Would this be harmful ? Dangerous ? Do we know ?
2) my doctor never did bone markers .
If my blood were tested now after one year on Tymlos would it show that Tymlos is working for bone QUALITY? Bone density did not improve for me si far on Tymlos but could it be it’s still advantageous if maybe bone quality has improved ?? How do you tell if that’s the case ?

CTX/P1NP would tell you if Tymlos is improving bone quality. No studies have been done on switching to Forteo after Tymlos. The endocrinologist I see would not switch me to Tymlos after two years of Forteo, though he readily prescribed another year of Forteo. Tymlos is thought to be a little stronger than Forteo. Interesting that it is only a little stronger at four times the dose.
My personal (medically unqualified) opinion is that you can't lose by continuing with either drug.
