Any advice on early onset hernia after lower abdominal resection?

I had surgery ten days ago and I have a bulge below my navel. Is this serious? What can I do and what questions should I ask my health provider.

That is pretty early for a hernia to start presenting. Could it be a hematoma? What did your surgeon say?

Just that it’s natural bruising. It’s going away since the staples came out. 🙂
