Anxiety and Depression, taking Effexor ER and Seroquel

I suffer from anxiety and depression. I'm on effexor er and seroquel. My mind is racing all the time and I constantly worry about everything. My mom has terminal cancer, so that doesn't help either. A lot of times I pretend to be happy, but I'm really not. I drive my mom to OSU for her cancer treatment when she has them. Since I do this, people feel like I shouldn't be on disability. They just don't understand what I go through. The only time I can sleep is when I take serquill . This makes me sleep, otherwise I cannot sleep at all. Any comments would be appreciated.

I also took Effexor and Seroquel for many years . I just went inpatient due to depression and intrusive racing thoughts and anxiety. They pulled me off and gave me 5 mg Abilify and Trazodone. Day 6 and my mind has slowed down. I hope this is the fix I needed.

Hi, @peach123456 - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. If I understand correctly, as an inpatient, the doctor tapered or took you off venlafaxine and quetiapine and put you on aripiprazole and Trazadone instead?

Glad to hear your mind has slowed down. Are you still inpatient at this time? Did you feel any effects of going off the venlafaxine and quetiapine?

How dare these "people" feel you are not entitled to be on disability. If any had the nerve to say that to me I would demand to see their medical license. You are going through a lot. Maybe you need to educate them on this. I am angry on your behalf. Do the best you can for yourself and ignore these ignoramouses.
