Antiphospholipid Syndrome and GLP-1 agonists: Contraindicated?

I have a very complex situation I won’t get into completely but treatment is tricky. Among other things, I have all three antibodies for APS. I’m wondering about the GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic/Wegovy) so that there’s some more opportunities for other, less risky surgical interventions for symptom management. My hemotologist doesn’t seem to see any info. I know HRT Hormones are strongly contraindicated for APS, and I did have a TIA post TAH on Premarin. Hoping the GLP’s aren’t the same.

You are one of the first ppl Ive seen here with APS. I too have that, for over 20 yrs suffering with it. Had 13 DVTs and now Im breaking through blood thinners. I was referred to Mayo Clinic but the one in Fl has no thrombose clinic. Perhaps you should try being referred to one, hopefully you are not living in Fl
