Another hospital stay

Hello from New Zealand.
Almost 2 years post surgery for stage 4 and after another 4 day stay in hospital combined with joining this group I think I've learned much much more about my condition.
Seems like it gastro paresis or delayed gastric emptying causing my current issues.
I have found so much useful info after joining this group and it has given me the ability to ask more questions too, thanks everyone, it's so helpful reading what you are all going through with me.
I've finally had a follow up gastroscopy after which I've been told it's all clear down there (relief), I was sure the cancer had returned.
We are also considering an adjustable bed.
I hope to be able to help others in the future too. Gary you are fantastic. One day I might get brave enough to join a zoom call.

I've just come off my first zoom call and am feeling a bit emotional. Firstly you were all talking about late dumping syndrome. After experiencing endless bouts of this I was told I was having panic attacks. I think that everytime I get something wrong with me the "experts" are just guessing.
Another thing I gathered from the call was that you are all so well educated about your condition. I ask questions and get vague answers and deer in headlights expressions. Please be patient with my ignorance, as I mentioned I have learned more in the last 3 weeks than I had in the 2 and a half years since diagnosis. . A general surgeon did my oesophagectomy. It was his 12th. If something could go wrong it did, luckily I don't remember as was in ICU on life support for 2 months. My husband had a gruelling time and I'm positive I would not be alive now if not for him.
Thank you for helping extend my knowledge. Because of the difference between our health systems a lot of what you can get it unavailable to us. I guess I'm pretty lucky to be here.
