Hi
Surgeries are done radiation is done starting tamoxifen I feel lost after living this for 6 months I was so happy the night I came home from radiation being completed now I just feel a sadness and empty it's very strange does anyone else feel this way after they're done their treatments surgeries. I live alone and I had to go to another city to have my treatment so had to live in a hotel where there were other cancer patients so you constantly had people around you to talk and maybe that's the issue not sure plus I have the fatigue after treatment and just don't feel up to doing a lot

Hi
I called the cancer hospital I had my treatment at and spoke to the radiation nurse yesterday. I told her what my symptoms have been and she said the fatigue can last 6 months to one year I was like are you kidding. I hope that is not the case.

I certainly hope not, too. Good luck to you.

My doctor, who was about 55, expressed "surprise" that I was "still so flat" for the best part of a year!!!

Agreed on both counts! Diagnosed with triple negative at age 66 (almost 72 now) and underwent 8 months of treatment. I befriended my young chemo infusion nurse and had a wonderful team overall-oncologist, surgeon, radiologist and their staff. I did miss them and their reassurance when my last treatment ended. That being said, I am hoping not to experience that eight month again.

I wish I could remember how long I needed to nap in the afternoon. It was a long time-maybe a year? I wasn’t working or raising kids so I could and I did-without guilt. People don’t understand that there’s a difference between fatigue and just feeling tired.

Listen to your body and give it what it needs to the extent that you are able.

Best wishes,
Cindy

Hi
Sorry you're going through that too but glad you shared because sometimes I feel like I'm crazy. Yesterday I never got out of bed all day not quite a bit today I feel better I guess it's just succumbing to the fatigue when it hits

Sometimes a bed day is a very good thing. It rejuvenates
