After Evenity

I will have my last injection of Evenity in two weeks. I don't want to have a Reclast infusion because I have had up to 5 in the past. I am concerned about starting Prolia for the remainder of my life. I am 70. I am considering Forteo because my insurance will pay for that rather than Tymlos. Any suggestions? I can't take bisphosphates. They wreck havoc on my stomach.

@susanew

I have 4 more Evenity treatments. My question is, after finishing up all 12 treatments, at what point would you go on to something else? Would it be immediately, or would there be a time interval before restarting on a new medication?

Immediately, following your medical provider's advice. The good results of Evenity go away quickly if there is no follow up treatment.

I'm very skeptical about any of these treatments. All through my envenity treatment I complained about muscle, bone & joint pain- it was severe to what I have experienced. The doctor chuckled and said none of these symptoms are caused by the drug and I'm her own way laughed. I've been off of the treatment for 2 months (after the 12month treatment) and ironically my pain has decreased about 75% snd my treatment did not increase my bone density - it decreased. So I'm feeling that the treatment is more severe than the diagnosis. All I hear is you got to do some type of treatment / right now I'm doing nothing and trying to ween off of some other meds that I have been on for years. They want me to go Thylomos and I'm refusing. My experience!!!
