Advice on a trip after having Radiation
I had prostate surgery on 8/24 was hoping I was done , PSA was .36 so just had a pet scan showing I need radiation and possibly hormone therapy . I have a trip planned for mid March , treatments might not be completed before maybe 2 weeks before out trip to ST. John , should I cancel trip , sounds like the possibilities of side effects could ruin our trip ?

Thanks Colleen, I feel that I made the right decision especially when I found out yesterday that my radiation won’t start till 1/21 so my treatment won’t finish until a week or so before the plans we had . Unfortunately when we booked our trip I didn’t know my cancer was still active after surgery . I guess as we all get older travel insurance is worth it
14yrs ago I had seed implants and radiation therapy for 1year, I was a master mechanic working in Alaska drove 1hr to work every day sometimes 3hrs depending on weather conditions. I never missed a day of work and the only thing I remember was being a bit more tired than usual. I’m 77 and cancer free for 13 years now. Have a great trip my friend
