I used to pant occasionally, while on abiraterone. I could be standing watching something and all of a sudden, I start panting, evidence of shortness of breath, One of the known side effects of Lupron/Eligard.
Lupron/Eligard can cause numerous side effects.
Hot flashes
Fatigue
Muscle deterioration
Bone weakening
Brain fog
Depression
Weight gain
Shortness of breath
I've switched from Lupron monthly injections to Orgovyx (now on it 3rd month) and have experienced shortness of breath on many occasions. I also have experienced breathing through my mouth instead of nose after getting up to pee with hot flashes. None of my healthcare providers can identify the real reason for this. I am set to meet with a pulmonologist next week. I'm not sure if this breathing issue is due to ADT or not but want it figured out. As I've stated before ADT sucks.
The breathing issue is due to ADT. It is one of the symptoms listed in the

I have experienced all of the listed side effects due to ADT treatment.
No bones have broken but I assume they are weak.
I read for every month you have treatment the residuals from the drugs remain in your body for the equal amount of time. In my case I had therapy for 9 months and have been off for 3. My hot flashes are slowly reducing and my stamina is improving as well. I am still short of breath and struggle to shed the 15 lbs I gained.

The rule about “every month of treatment it takes to recover your testosterone” is due to the fact that your testosterone builds slowly after being knocked out not that the drug is in your bloodstream.
I stopped using ADT five months ago and this month my testosterone increased by 52%. I was on ADT for eight years, If it was still in my bloodstream why after the second month of stopping did my testosterone go up by 83.3%. I took Lupron for seven years And Orgovyx for about 8 months, Orgovyx leaves the system pretty quickly but Lupron definitely hasn’t been in me for seven years.
Have you had your testosterone level checked? That tells you how close you’re to getting back to normal. I know that my brother took a lot longer than the Six months he was on Lupron for him to get his testosterone back, He was 76 and age is a factor.
You could get a DEXA Scan to tell you about your bone density and assess fracture risk. Ask your doctor about it. If you do have a problem you can pick from multiple drugs to strengthen your bones?.

I didn't realize that my shortness of breath is most likely due to my ADT. Makes sense as it clearly started after Tx began. I will discuss with my upcoming pulmonologist appt and my next oncologist appt. I do think that my interrupted breathing through my mouth and not nose at night is also affected by my hot flashes. When I awake after 3.5 hrs. of sleep to pee - I have hot flashes, and the breathing changes from nose to mouth. So many factors with ADT. Fudgeee
SOB is my biggest side-effect so far but I've only just begun. Haven't hit the hot-flash stage yet. The Eligard injection and Casodex drugs are living in my bod right now doing their thing because of the enemy within.
Solid sleep routine is one of the most important ways to stay healthy in myriad ways so I'm not looking forward to that part of my life being messed up. Waking often to pee, trying to settle shortness of breath, and managing hot flashes - all for an extended period of time is not good for sure.
Did somebody say ADT sucks?

That may explain it. I wasn't sure if it was just anxiety.
I started on Firmagon two years ago, have had shortness of breath ever since, I just try to accept it as best I can. Best to all.
