Thanks for mentioning this site. I visited and signed up for discussion. Looking forward to participating.
Hi @tillysam, Thanks for starting this discussion. You will notice that we changed the title a little to hopefully help members find the discussion. I've been a member of HealthUnlocked for a few years and it is a wealth of information and member experience like Connect.
They have a frequently asked questions page that is really useful for finding information on the site here:

Another site that I also shared in a reply on HealthUnlocked is the Patient Revolution which has some great tips for talking with your doctor or rheumatologist -- https://patientrevolution.org/visit-tools
Anyone else have a PMR or GCA resource they would like to share?
PubMed is a great source for studies on just about any subject you can think of.
This is a great forum. I have learned so much and how to cope with this new life. Advice is offered from people who know PMR.
The problem, I think, with PubMed is that so many of the papers are quite old. I would love to see up to date information.
The Facebook group PMR/GCA support is a very well moderated friendly supportive group.
Try using Google Scholar - https://scholar.google.com/ for finding the latest medical research papers. It lets you sort the results by year.
Thanks

I belong to the facebook page. It is good source and its where I self diagnosed myself. But so much of it becomes social media. Some days there are dozens of comments just looking for conversation and no one seems to listen to each other. It has been refreshing to me to gain knowledge from this site where everyone has an opinion that has been helpful. John also moderates it well.
