Acoustic neuroma And Avastin immunotherapy

My husband has lung cancer. He was given immunotherapy called Keytruda. The side effects were awful! He got pancreatitis which is a known side effect of Keytruda. He lost a lot of weight; several sizes, could hold nothing down and was almost dead. The cancer doctor only recommended some medicine for nausea. We turned to our primary care doctor who immediately sent my husband to a pancreatitis specialist that prescribed some medication to get his pancreas straightened out so it would let him eat again. With that and consuming lots of beef stew made with Allen Brothers' filet mignon; (It was all he could keep down.) and God, my husband survived. Today he is in good health and doesn't even have any signs of cancer! (We prayed a lot during that time!) Now, the type of immunotherapy you are considering may be totally different from what my husband had. You might want to research it on the Mayo Clinic website; especially the side effects of it. It's also important to know that immunotherapy is very expensive. What my husband received cost $25,000 per infusion. He received two infusions per month. Luckily, we had very good health insurance through my husband's union so the high cost wasn't a problem. I wish you the best and will say a prayer for you.
