Acid Reflux and its Symptoms

Posted by mwarenski @mwarenski, Feb 13, 2017

Does anyone have a variety of symptoms associated with Acid Reflux that are chronic? Such as chest pain, back pain, weird tastes, etc.? Please tell me your symptoms. A little worried here…thinking it may be something more serious.

@mwarenski, how have you been managing your symptoms? Have you had to make significant diet changes?

I can have a MRI under 0.7 Tesla, whatever that is. And I haven’t had to vomit since having the LINX but my Mayo surgeon said I could, although I would rather not test that! I can burp but don’t have the need as much anymore. I thought they could remove the hernia. I had a small one they removed. I went to Dr. Harold at Mayo Phoenix.

Yes, try the Paleo Diet and cut out all the carbs! Even watch the fruit. It worked miracles for me. I was still taking Zantac twice a day after my LINX surgery, after stopping all carbs and fruit I lost the bloating, gas, burning, weight and no longer have to take anything!

@karen44, have you spoken to your doctor about this? What did they say? Have they been able to rule anything out?

If you do not consume the foods that you are intolerant to, you should see some improvement. Has your doctor suggested that you might have a Hiatal hernia? Alternative health practitioners can help with that. Robbinr

I had hernia repair surgery 2 years ago. It left me with gastroparesis. I just found out I have another hernia. I am taking protonix 2x’s a day.

I’ve tried so many “PPI’s” but they won’t work on my “Silent Reflux”. Does Protonix work for you?

I’m so sorry to hear that. I don’t want to go the surgery route. I’d rather live with some discomfort. My prayers are with you.
