Acid reflux
Been having reoccurring bouts of acid reflux that started after I finished (33) radiation therapy for hpv tongue and lymph node (3) cancer.
Wondering what other survivors have experienced and what strategies you could recommend to help me deal with this. It’s more of an uncomfortable nuisance than a debilitating condition as it seems to flare up during the day especially when I’m bending over (gardening) or sometimes during eating.

Radiation ended in mid December 2025, noticed acid reflux symptoms in January 2026.
Here is what worked for me: No food within three hours of bedtime. No ice cream or dairy within five hours of bedtime. Drink some water before bed. Fall asleep on your left side.
Antacids can help as well. Not sure why we tend to have this problem aside from the irritation to our throat may trigger stomach acid. It seems to clear up a bit two or three years post.
