Hi Jennifer thank you so much for the advice . That makes a lot of sense. I have a lot of scar tissue and it is definitely stuck and I was pretty much immobile for a good 3 months . I will certainly look for a provider near me . I appreciate your feedback back thank you

@shar714 After my fracture healed, I had a weak side of my ankle and a stronger side. Because muscles work in opposition to each other, the stronger side was always beating up the weak side and exerting too much pressure. It was like living with an ankle sprain all the time, and I could only walk so long before it fatigued was painful, and I had to get off my leg. After I worked on this with my PT, it took the extra pressure off the tendons and ligaments on the weak side. and worked out the knotted muscles in the calf. I had several places of surgical scars and one of the worst was on my shins because there had been an external cage screwed into the bone right after the injury. That scar tissue was causing it to pull through the front when I stepped off my foot gong forward, and it would make my ankle suddenly collapse. That stopped happening when those scars were loosened. I still work on them from time to time because they tighten up periodically. After doing all of this, I was walking pain free for the first time in 4 years, and I was even able to hike abut 3 miles at Rocky Mountain National Park. I did get tired and fatigued, but it was my whole body and because of the altitude, and my ankle really wasn't any worse. I did need one day to recover, but then was back at my new norm.

Hi @cathan
As well as the previous advice, may I suggest a chat with your doctor re your statins.
Initially, I was tried on several, but all gave me muscle weakness. I am now on Ezitimide with no problem, and a good cholesterol level.
All the best in your recovery.

Hello Cathan,
Thank you for replying. And yes I have a appointment with my Cardiologist coming up and planed to ask if my muscle weakness could be contributed to my statins. I too was on a different statin in the beginning. I had terrible leg cramps and restless leg . he switched me to Atorvastin and Ezitimide and only occasionally have leg cramps. The restless leg went away.
So we will see. Thank you again for your advice I appreciate it!
