A turn for the better: feeling better after radiation and chemo

Posted by sjw6358 @sjw6358, Feb 11, 2023

After 28 radiation and 6 chemo treatments ending on Jan3rd 2023 i was in bad shape; spending 20 hours a day in bed, no solid food because esophagus was burned and swollen, oxycodone for pain all day and night, feeling like life was draining out of my body, i could go on...but my cancer recovery team, my wife and this web site kept me hanging on until,,,I STARTED TO FEEL BETTER! slowly i started to get up more and walk my dog or just around the yard, eat some solid food, ease off the oxycodone; SLOWLY-day after day until February 9th when i eat 3 meals of solid real food for the first time in 5 weeks...We are meeting with oncologist on feb 15 to decide if February 20th will be the surgery date for a partial esophagus removal...see what happens next...

Amazing,
You will be okay - and if you go under surgery - it’s the last stretch ! All together !
Keep + you will be ok !
