"A Tale of Two Feet" or "The Color Purple"
We're all on different PN paths sometimes sharing with others. 5 years post diagnosis PN. One of the early (before diagnosis) observations was discoloration of toes and feet to a kind of purplish, reddish, mottled appearance which I "chalked-up" mistakingly as just an artifact of getting older...WRONG it was a marker of PN. So now, my feet look beautiful with correct color and very little if any of itching. I'm going to say that several changes in behavior caused the circulation in my feet to improve: 1. Walking as much as I can. 2. Staying "up-right" meaning OFF the couch 3. Working out i.e. stationary bike and leg lifts.
So...maybe for some this little report might help them.
Good luck to all.

Was the purple color on the ball of your foot and the bottom of your toes? I have the same thing but it seems to be a little better. I ride a recumbent about 8 miles a day and it may be helping. What is it about PN that causes the color changes? The circulation in my feet seem to be good.
In my case, it was the toes and top of my feet. Good on you riding 8 a day! Not sure why but I think the discoloration is circulation issues from PN. Good question for the DR.
