A question for all you Smoothie experts

Posted by artist01 @artist01, May 25, 2021

As a newbie Smoothie maker, can I add acidic fruits such as oranges or pineapple to a smoothie that contains dairy products, or will it curdle the mixture? Also, can I add frozen spinach (or even other veggies) to a fruit smoothie, to get more vitamins? Being deprived of so much in my diet right now, smoothies seem to be working for me!

I'm glad that @imallears and @jakedduck1 aren't discussing sushi (raw fish) in regards to smoothies anymore!

amen! Yucky pooh! I actually enjoy my smoothies and they are so good for me. I quit reading those two dear ones due to their craziness. I'm not a raw meat or fish person, under any circumstances. Ever.
Hope all is well my friend. Stay well, be blessed. elizabeth

I use Nectar products as my protein Source added to water and /or yogurt and blend in fruit , even peanut butter ( powder or from jar ). Nectar has fruit flavors and coffee flavors, in addition to the basic. Great flavors in all I have tried. I use water due to lactose intolerance. I have also mixed small amounts of water and powder to making dry to wet , then pour into a hot beverage ( this prevents protein powder from clumping). Great tasting cold or hot. Good luck.

Being borderline diabetic I need to watch sugar intake so my smoothie consists of sparkling water, ground ginger, Greek yogurt with honey, a bit of fresh fruit and ground flax seed with lots of fresh spinach.
