Gotta love Aerosmith!
I think your kid's trying to turn you on to one of the best bands ever!

LOL, I don’t dislike them I just don’t happen to have them on my playlist.
I do, however, have Steven Tyler singing with Santana playing guitar 😊

He’s still alive and still touring.

I'm really into his older stuff. I think he kinda sold out and went a bit mainstream over the last decade or so. Maybe I should give his more recent works a listen?

@shivey, I love that song and consider it a classic!

The great Roberta Flack recently passed away (February 24, 2025) from ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease).

She was great! I loved her voice and everything she sang.

All I ever wanted, all I ever needed is here in my arms. Words are very unnecessary, they can only do harm.

My favorite singer besides Frank Sinatra, was Merle Haggard. One of his many big hits was "Are the Good Times Really Over for Good?" A couple of the good lines are: "When Coke was still Cola and the joint was a bad place to be." And, "Does a Ford and a Chevy last ten years like they should?"

Another of his big hits: "We don't smoke Marijuana in Muskogee. We still fly Old Glory down at the courthouse."
These two songs sum up what America used to be like. So good and honest. Let's hope we get it back!

Not a song, exactly, but the closing chorus from Beethoven's opera, "Fidelio".

Nie wird es zu hoch besungen, Retterin des Gatten sein!

(We can never praise too highly, a wife who saves her husband!)

My wife is truly my Retterin, especially since I had a stroke.
