1 ReactionI agree, where do we learn it from!! I have been nebulizing and doing my airway clearance for almost 5 years. I was never given any instructions on how to PROPERLY use a nebulizer breathing techniques, other devices to use with it such as Areobika, acupella, etc. everything I learned was from fellow patients. I have often asked my Pulmonologist office if I can have a 10 minute appointment to have a RRT watch me do a round of nebulizing and/or airway clearance, to see that I’m doing it correctly, and the answer is always there to busy!! That’s because the hospitals always has them doing PFT’s 6MWT, etc. I just wish they could come up with a system where a RRT could check a patient’s technique to ensure it is being done correctly. Furthermore I heard 1 only 1 Doctor on that video mention about she believes it (BE) was MISDIAGNOSED for years as COPD. I know they are similar symptoms, but possibly a correct diagnosis may have helped someone else in their experience and treatment modality.. I’m probably just venting some and truly believe in the medical field. But nonetheless when we make a mistake we all need to admit to it. I for one smoked cigarettes for over 25yrs. Dumbest mistake I ever made!!! And that is a probability why I’m dealing with BE, although I totally quit in 1998.
