A 10 year fight with Multiple Myeloma
Hi, my beloved brother, Michael died from leukemia in April of this year. He had multiple myeloma for over 10 years. Amazingly at 1st he had mostly good years...He had some highs & low waves as he was diagnosed with leukemia in the fall last year. I wanted to join a MM group for more insight to help me through this new normal I am facing.
While I research more information I want to spread awareness to help my family and friends beyond.
There's this constant caring reminder [a note to self] if you will... That I too must dig deeper to gain full knowledge myself on Multiple Myeloma and Leukemia.
This was a hard climb for the family. Donating blood & plasma vials to see if you're a match. Helping to get patient to appointments. Going to organic herbal medicine stores. Doing your best to be strong wanting to help with transfusions.
This can wear on the clearest mental capability as well as the patients who are living this nightmare everyday. Anyone who has a family member suffer in having a rare cancer shares the weight. There is hope for tomorrow for all who believes in life there is Hope.
Although M M is rare it is just as hard. Because this is definitely a cruel blood cancer disease disorder.
But it is worth the FIGHT!!!

I thank you for your words of encouragement & may your memories of your brother be a blessing. I received a stem cell transplant for a very rare T cell lymphoma 6 months ago & pray for new treatments.
