82 with PMR for second time. Any age limit to this?

My second time too and different than the first. My hips and thighs seem more painful. Only on 15mg pred to start though. See Dr next week.

I was 85 when the GCA started, finally diagnosed several months later…it is not a common disease family physicians deal with…2 years later PMR knocked me down big time, I was 87 had a ESR of 140+. There apparently is no time frame and because these two diseases go hand in hand and are very strong anti immune systems, they are harder to control.
There are medical solutions, shots for instance, that can help control them. They’re expensive but there are companies that support and pay balance that Medicare does not.
