Having regurgitation with the g-tube: Why?

Posted by bob2158 @bob2158, Nov 3 9:59pm

74 yo male diag with esoph Ca back in April.  Being treated with immunotherapy. Have g-tube due to blockage between esoph & stomach. I’ve recently noticed greater esoph fullness & need to regurgitate after feedings. Is this bc GE sphincter is allowing stomach contents to back up into the esophagus. Aside from the risk of reflux, might this be a sign of improvement in the obstruction?

@bob2158, how are you doing with the g-tube now? Have you been able to get the regurgitation under control? What helped?
