6 month long abdominal pain

i’m 21 years old and since February of 2025 i have had a dull but noticeable pain in my lower right abdomen. i’d locate and pin point the pain to be next too or around my ovary/uterus region and sometimes a little bit next to it. it doesn’t even reach up to my belly button and is just in that general lower right area. the pain has never gotten worse, it’s always been the same. it does come and go it’s not always there. i notice it more about 1-2 weeks before im gonna get my period, occasionally if i haven’t used the bathroom (#2) in a long time, and if i do a like long day of walking or a lot exercise. i went to an urgent care in may, its now july and they did an ultrasound and a internal ultrasound plus blood work and urinalysis and they told me i had PCOS and to see a obgyn and besides that told me everything else came back as normal and 100% fine they saw no masses just cysts on my ovaries that are familiar to PCOS. i am seeing an obgyn in a week.

my question is before i go does anyone have any predictions. do they think it is just PCOS? i have really bad health anxieties and OCD and im concerned that isn’t the issue and im very panicked. my brain constantly second guesses everything. i do have several symptoms of PCOS. does this sound somewhat familiar or normal to PCOS. i have no other symptoms connecting to the pain. i have no fevers, change in bowel habits, everything is fine, just the pain. i saw somewhere on here someone said someone who had this sounded like they had chronic appendicitis but all her tests for EVERYTHING else had come back normal. would the urgent care had caught chronic appendicitis if that was the case. is this really just PCOS & possibly ovary related by the sounds of it?

thank you to anyone who can given insight. i just wanna feel reassured i won’t come back with cancer or some life threatening disease.

I have had pain like you for many years and it was usually tied to ovulation pain and cysts that formed monthly on my ovaries with my cycles. I had ultrasounds like you.

It is good to be checked by a OBGYN to see what they would suggest to help treat you and minimize pain/discomfort with your cycles. You can also see a gastroenterologist to see if they would suggest any testing to see if your symptoms are related to digestive issues.

You would benefit from counseling and possible medication to help you manage your anxiety and OCD. I would not get worked up about the unknown and assume the worst. Get checked by doctors and let them assess your health to properly diagnose and treat you. Gather facts and don’t let your emotions control you.

@miasnoopy4 I would want to rule out chronic appendicitis.

This is going to sound weird, but after ruling out many possibilities, I was diagnosed with "gas pain or bloating." Great, but now what? I started using simethicone, which helped a lot. Also, eating slower, drinking more water, exercise and sipping mint tea. Keep pressing your doctor to find out the cause!

I'm pretty sure this is ovulation pain. I had it for years. But good to check it out with your doctor.
