20 plus yrs parathyroidectomy for mediastinal adenoma, elevated PTH

I have symptoms of peripheral neuropathy. I've had a work up including labs and a nerve conduction study which is normal, but does not negate small fiber neuropathy. Because of my history of hyperparathyroidism my PCP periodically checks my PTH. It is elevated but this may be normal for my current age - 71. What gets my mind wandering is some days I just feel crappy like I did in my 50's before I knew what a parathyroid gland and its function is. As an aside, I've also had hyperprolactinemia and I've had MRI's to R/O pituitary tumor. It's believed that I may have a benign tumor under the radar. And since I'm well beyond child bearing years, not much of a concern.
Fast forward I can't help but wonder if these past endocrine issues may figure in to my current symptoms which are chronic numbness and tingling in my feet and legs generally without pain. I am not diabetic. Put simply are the current symptoms possibly related to my past endocrine issues.?
While I wouldn't describe my discomfort as pain per se, it is enough of a sensation to disrupt my sleep. I tried a one month course of Gapapentin (low dose) which did nothing to relieve my symptoms or improve my sleep.
Due to insurance issues I need to get a "new" referral in 2024 for Neurology from my new PCP. I wonder if an Endocrine referral would be more in order all things considered.

Did you have parathyroidectomy? I had a right mediastinum adenoma removed October 30. Neuropathy in my toes was one of the symptoms that has gone away. My pedicure nail tech can vouch for that. lol. Insulin resistance is coming so the hyperparathyroidism. PTH/calcium/D number from same draw are what is needed to evaluate. If you had the parathyroidectomy, you can still develop adenomas in other glands or hyperplasia. With the high end PTH your calcium should be LOW.
