2 recent fragility fractures 77 years and in researching seems Tymlos or Forteo best to start. Or what about Evenity?

I agree that i need more than bisphosphonates because I have had severe osteoporosis diagnosis since menopause (25 years ago). I chose to go with nutrition and exercise and LIV as long as I could. So now after the fractures I’ll do the meds. Just want to take the right one and that’s where I’d like a specialist involved. (I’ll try the pill while waiting)
Thanks for your info.

A short time on the bisphosphonate probably won't impact the effectiveness of an anabolic. Just be careful not to stay on it too long or you may require a drug holiday before starting anabolic treatment.

That is the same regime I am on that was prescribed by my Endocrinologist in Denver. I also have one at Mayo in Mn and he was extreme pleased that my doctor knew to advise this. The Mayo doctor also had a doctor doing her fellowship come in to hear the information because he stated that all md’s need to know the “best” treatment. I know it’s jistn2 doctors thoughts and many are on different drugs for different reasons. I’ve had my 7th set of injections at the infusion center at Parker Advent Hospital and I’ve done arms, stomach, and upper thighs and all have resulted in welts 2” by 1”, however the ones on my thigh last just 2-3 days.. they burn and feel very warm. I am looking straight toward the end and a HUGE increase in my bone density 🙂

Evenity once a month for twelve months and then Reclast once a year for up to 3 years. Good luck!

All good. Tymlos is supposed to be a little better for the spine; Forteo for the hip. Some people start with Tymlos/Forteo, then move to Evenity if they still need more bone-building.

This video was made by someone who occasionally posts here. It's a nice overview of medication options presented in a way that you don't need to be a medical student to understand. 🙂
