2 cm mass. Discovered by endoscopy

I am 67 almost. Breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed 3/23/26 with Esophageal Cancer.
I would like to know what people say about only having radiation and chemotherapy only. Without surgery. Also the surgery patient perspective.

I was diagnosed Nov 24 ,small esphogus cancer,only in esphogus, did chemo/radiation over Christmas/ newyear,opted for surgery April 25...7 days in hospital, had feeding tube never used it,deff tough year but improving every day,lost 20 lbs experience dumping syndrome if you do to many carbs,eating ok but im a snacker and hate to stop eating 3 hrs before sleep,bought adjustable bed under $2000,for acid/ bile reflux, let me know if ya have any questions..ill be 66 in June and lost my wife 5 years ago to ovarian cancer so im kinda fig shit out on my own with help from my son...love and prayers for all on this site.
