"I have neuropathy in my feet. No pain little tingling. However the numbness is increasing."

I have exact same thing, since 2019. No obvious cause. B12 was low, but has been fine since taking shots and supplements. A1C is high end of normal range (5.3-5.5) but still, normal.

FWIW I will say this: I am pretty sure that losing weight and reducing carbs would help a lot, but I have idiotically not done that yet. Worse is I recently gained 15 pounds and my feet are worse (more numb) -- so that is one data point about what causes the numbness. I am now 220 (6'-1"). I bet if I could get down to a more ideal weight, like 185, it would help a lot. If you are not overweight, then never mind, but perhaps others here are.

Hi Rick, I think your FWIW is spot on. After all my years struggling with weight I was able to lose and have maintained the weight loss for the past several years using intermittent fasting and lowering the amount of carbs I eat. There is another discussion you might find helpful if you are interested.

I feel it has helped some with the numbness in my feet along with my overall health.

Besides having numb feet I now have numbness in my right hand.
Started about year ago, gradually in my fingers and now totally involves my right hand.
I can’t hold certain objects, like forks or knives, and I try using my left hand as much as I can.
I was wondering if this is related to my CIDP or could this be a result of a hand nerve compression issue, since it’s only my right hand.
Should I see a hand doctor?

You are playing russian roulette with your health. I am
72yrs. old, my perfect weight now is 119lbs. Go ahead
and take it all for granted.
I have seen so many overweight people wearing flip flops, and complaining about their feet. I'm afraid this is a cerebral problem. In my case I have done everything possible to change this condition of Peripheral Neuropathy for 24yrs now. I wear orthotics, take vitamin B Complex, have a trainer, keep my weight at the exact number, limit the time on my feet, etc. The medical profession has not solved this problem. The best you can do after getting your weight to normal for your height, is to use
very supportive shoes, orthotics, elevate your feet daily, ice them daily, and rest them to the extent that it improves. You have to pay attention. Your diet is so important. Alcohol, sugar, anything causing inflammation must be addressed. It's not pretty. You'll
need to grow up. I did. Hope that you get it. RICE method is rest, ice, compress(didn't work for me) and elevate. The truth: you are on your own. No one is going to solve your problem but YOU. God bless.
