White Specks in Urine

Posted by homemade1 @homemade1, Jan 14 2:21pm

I stared drinking a gallon of water for four days, so my urine is clear. I noticed white specks in my urine. So yesterday, I captured the urine in a clean, clear plastic container and let it sit over night. Next day, the white specks gathered into two small clusters at the bottom of the container. Otherwise the urine is clear.

Maybe, you could call your primary and see if they will lab test it. Have you ever had kidney stones?

My guess would also be precursor's to kidney stones

Never had kidney stones. Always drank mostly water, and usually drink a gallon during the summer. Have to force myself to drink water during the winter. Have been eating more protein, but cutting back.

And I don’t mean to suggest you have them now. But I might mention it to my primary next time you go. Only so many types of crystal formation that tend to show up in urine I would think. I have no idea how you establish the optimal Ph to discourage formation. I always heard drink cranberry juice but I couldn’t say why people say that.

I was thinking maybe from eating foods high in oxalates - but there’s other causes.

I don't think it is normal for there to be any kind of solids in urine. I would go to the doc and have a urine test and see what the doc has to say. I think the urine tests are pretty fast and pretty cheap.

Also, I have heard that there is such a thing as too much water. It can be bad for you somehow. Sorry, I can't remember the details...

It can possibly be microscopic kidney stones. Go to pharmacist and ask for a kidney stone screen/strainer. Or check on Amazon.
