My feet won't stay still.

Posted by tisher2 @tisher2, Jan 11 11:19pm

All the time, whether sitting or lying, my feet move.
This is particularly hard when trying to sleep and embarrassing when in public.
Any suggestions?

Yes, I have for years. My latest neurologist thought it might be "restless leg syndrome" but I am pretty sure that's not it. My neuropathy came about a year after lower back surgery.
Thanks.

I have that all the time. sleeping is difficult for me. Also, I got Covid the beginning of January 2023. And just went downhill from that. I have neuropathy in my hands and feet. So bad and there’s nothing they can really do for it I was on gabapentin just made it worse.
I’m at the point now I am25%. I can use my walker and 75% to be in wheelchair. I have a neurologist who’s done everything he can possibly try. I call my feet now the dancing feet. It’s also hard to wear shoes. And when I’m sitting in a car. Or I’m at a restaurant eating food, the pain is unbearable, and I always have to have my feet up When I’m home. My advice to you is to try to stay positive about everything. Because that’s the only way I’ve been able. To try to handle everything.

This sounds terrible for you. I am able to walk, though I have fallen several times. I hope that some lab experts are working on pain relief at least, if not a cure and prevention. I think more and more people are going to be suffering from painful and debilitating neuropathy.
