Any DIC following strep pneumonia septic shock?

@kewp, I added your post to the ICU support group as well. This must be so hard to see your neice struggling to recover from disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). I'm tagging @kbreder @bossmomma54 @kristap31 @dtyner60 who have first-hand experience with DIC.

Is she still in ICU?

She has been/is in a step-down unit and on different treatments (betadine wash, then Silvadene, then a special dressing & gauze, boots) to toes. Currently, she might get a skin graft to some toes. It is extremely difficult for her & we’re all praying she can keep her digits! I’ll read those you listed above for their experience with DIC. Thank you.
