Varicose veins
Has anyone developed or had worsening varicose veins after Covid?
I had some spider veins, nothing too big, but now I have a ropey looking varicose vein traveling down one leg.
I drove an hour to see a vascular specialist. He spent about ten minutes with me. Used an instrument to measure blood flow in my legs and pronounced me “fine”. I have found it doesn’t work to contradict the “expert”. Meantime the vein looks worse.
Anybody else having this experience?

Yes, my veins went haywire. They grew huge and dark….never before. Coincidence? Idk They aren’t varicose though.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence. All my veins look darker too. Just more prominent.
I chalked it up to aging. Idk. I always had faint veins.
It does seem my aging has accelerated since Covid. Doctors who don’t know me definitely chalk up many things to “age”.
I wasn’t aging at this pace until I had Covid two years ago. Of course no way to prove that to anybody.
Plus I doubt myself too. Maybe I always looked this bad?
I agree with you. It was like a button got pushed and all hell broke loose. Hair, skin, veins, eyes, nerves, nails, smell/taste, throat, muscles, balance, ……it’s unreal.
Yeah, me too. Aged ten years in two years.
Before Covid I had felt young for my age. Not anymore. I hope I'll be able to “bounce back” at some point. Not yet though.
I will say one thing that’s better…I’ve been eating right since March and working out since July….so, my butt has improved. Never thought I’d be happy with my butt appearance? Lol
I lost thirty pounds. I was ok with the first ten, but I just look scrawny now.
I need to build more muscle and core strength. Will work on that when my cold subsides. My legs and arms are too scrawny. Need muscle. I’ve lost 58 pounds so far.
That’s a lot of weight to lose. All Covid related?
I just lose my appetite with Covid. I know it effects everybody differently.
I hope I can firm up some over time. I don’t mind being smaller, but I don’t like how my skin looks.
