I shop on line. I try to use coupons and specials. For 20 years I used to get all my products from PuritanPride. However lately they have a lot of items out of stock and has continued for some time now.

Vitacost is a huge company and you can find a lot of different companies products being sold there along with Vitacost products. NatureMade is a highy touted vitamin/supplement company. They have an excellent quality control reputation but are a little more expensive. Problem is Nature Made does not have all the supplements I take. Puritan Pride and Vitacost having a low purchase amount to get free shipping. Life Extensions is another company with a lot of products but seems to take a long time for shipments.

You can go on line and research quality vitamin and supplements companies and review any complaints made on them.

I do take both Ubiquinol and Co-Q-10. Ubiquinol is quite expensive. I take 100 mg of Ubiquinol and 300 (total) of high absorb Co-Q-10. I take Ubiquinol 1 time a day and Co-Q-10 3 times a day and use the 100 mg product of each.

My heart failure doctor wanted me to take at least 200 mg. of Co-Q-10. I had read that a larger amount is helpful he had no problem with me taking a larger dose. If Ubiquinol was not so expensive would just take it.

The taking of Co-Q-10 is quite common especially if you take a statin. I would check with your doctor on taking vitamins and supplements to ensure they are okay with them. Every time I have an appointment at Mayo, regardless of doctor, they go over my medications, vitamins and supplements with me.

When I had prostrate radiation they asked me to stop all my antioxidants. Reason, research states they (antioxidants) do protect cells but they also protect cancer cells. So radiologist/oncologist wanted not to be taking supplements that would help protect the cancer cells during radiation treatments.
