Interesting . . . My surgeon did not use any external sutures - he used a super-glue-like adhesive with a special tape over the incision. I was told that after a few days, the tape could be wet, and would come off by itself when ready. Afterwards, he instructed me to massage the incision site with lotion twice daily. I actually used Palmer's cocoa butter/vitamin e formula, which I learned from past experience (other surgeries) helps healing and minimizes scars. This was recommended to me years ago by a surgeon that I worked with.
