Good luck on your situation. There are so many different types of digestive disorders. I suggest asking your healthcare provider for a copy of your health records and a list off all medications you have taken. As far as IBS goes that would not be a DX ( DIAGNOSES) IBS is a symptom a or a condition; caused by a primary issue. I suggest further evaluation with ultra sounds and full abdominal CT scans to find out the core issue that can possibly be corrected with surgery. Providing you are a good candidate for surgery. Advocate strongly for your own health don't become a guinea pig based on cookie cutter diagnoses. If your care provider is not listening to you it may be time to find another if possible. Question everything and don't trust blindly. Merck Manuals and the CDC are great resources for gathering information to arm your knowledge base with.
Not paralysis, but for me long and torturous colon , which causes constipation and slow passage of food .
However I have after 60 years of constipation finally found the answer. 😀🙃

Hi.
I have GASTROPARESIS and have the same symptoms. It means delayed stomach emptying. There's no cure. I am also clueless as to what to do about it because it affects my quality of life signafficantly
Hi, I have gastroparesis too. It is the worst thing I’ve ever had cause it’s constant. I regurgitate my food but mostly liquids come back up. I also have dysphasia, alchalasia, jackhammer esophagus, hiatal hernia, GERD, etc. I just went for an egd with Bravo PH but when I woke up they said they couldn’t do anything because I am completely inflamed everywhere. I have an ulcer, gastritis, reflux esophagitis Grade D , a tortuous esophagus. Sometimes I can’t speak cause my voice is raspy. I can’t clear my throat. I get severe pain in my stomach constantly. Nothing helps. Is anyone else this severely sick? Now my gastro said I have to wait 8-10 weeks to heal, wait for biopsies to come back and have another egd to make sure everything is healed. If it is healed I will be having a procedure called a TIF. Is there anyone out there who has had a TIF? It’s so frustrating that I have these symptoms cause I can never make plans to do anything because idk how I’m going to feel. I also think I might have esophageal cancer. Every symptom I have all points to esophageal cancer. I’m only 47. How did this happen? Thank you for listening. I would appreciate any advise. Rosemarie
Coukd it be dysmotility? My son has colonic dysmotility. His muscles don’t work in 8 inches of his colon…they are paralyzed. That’s how it was explained to us.
Yes, I can keep in touch. Thank you. I actually have an appointment tomorrow with the GI specialist here in Kingston. Not expecting much. If I could get a referral to say Ottawa I could get there. Will let you know what is happening.
Have you had any of your spine and cervical (neck region ) checked. I have recently been diagnosed with MALs ( median arcuate ligament syndrome) also known as celiac compression syndrome ; also known as dunbars disease the core cause for me is slight scoliosis which in turn causes lordosis in my back which pulls muscles to tight which in turn compress the celiac nerve causing digestive disorders leading to high cholesterol and cardiac issues. Everything is connected, one thing goes wrong in the body is like a domino effect. I hope you can find answers and relief soon.
Gastroparesis? Sounds like what I know about it. Have a friend diagnosed with it years back. She takes some med called - not sure about spelling - “sounds like” Cisispride…

Could it be gastroparesis?
