Question: weird nighttime ( sleep) experiences,. Anyone else had this?
I seem to be in an extreme Sjigrens flare. Cevilemine only works mornings. I don’t take an evening dose ; woke up multiple times with soaked clothes & even bedding, but no saliva. I use Xylimelts for the rest of the day & overnight. For the last 2 nights , couldn’t produce enough moisture for Xylimelts to work. But oddly enough, my body emitted some kind of moisture, had to change what I was sleeping in.

Given the brief history only mentioning Sjögrens, I would pose some questions to think about. Any fever associated with the sweats? Are you female and possibly between 40 and 55? If so these could be hormonal hot flashes and not related to your Sjögrens. Some people with autoimmune diseases have autonomic dysfunction, meaning their involuntary nervous system malfunctions and that can include profuse sweating. Night sweats that drench can be a sign of other illnesses, so if it continues I would suggest seeing your Dr.
I never had night sweats in my life until I got the Shigrex vaccine; the night sweats started a week later and I've now had them for about 2 years. Night sweats are a known reaction to Shigrex but they normally go away in couple of months, unless you have a compromised immune system, which I do (cancer). There are also some medications that can cause night sweats.
Well the medication I take to try to produce saliva that cause sweating for a few hours after you take it. At least for me I didn’t expect it to start again at night. I’ll have to talk to my doctor. Thanks for the heads up.
