EEG, Sleep Studies, Childhood Mental Health and Diagnostic Tests?
So I have been doing some inner growth and empowerment and I had a memory brought back about a test that I underwent when I was younger, don't remember exact age but between age 8-13, mind you most of my childhood involved therapy and psychiatry from age 6 through age 16, but I was taken to a business called nystrom and associates where they connected a bunch of wires coming off a computer and gluing them to my skull, and then the most prominent memory from that test was that I was told to keep focused on this computer screen in which this program was running where I was told to focus on this flying character and make sure he stayed afloat and not let him fall. I guess I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this kind of test and if so what was the purpose for such a test? And if the test is common or known about, would that test show results not of any problems in the brain activity but of any kind of special abilities or signs of someone with a very gifted mind and done in trying to understand a child's mind if they seemed to be contrary to what a parent is telling a therapist? Has anyone else experienced these kinds of tests, and how if any role do they differ or relate to also receiving multiple sleep studies and how much more can be inferred for trying to diagnose a child, and also again can any kind of psychic gifts or abilities also be brought out or identified through these kinds of tests?

spiritualdragon88 @spiritualdragon88,
Not sure what age you are now, or how long ago the tests were done, but either you or current providers should be able to request your medical records. If a provider requests, you will have to authorize release of the information.
Once have medical records, you will know what tests were run and what the test results were.
If still see a psychiatry or other provider, it might be best if they request so they can help you interpret the results.

As a retired school psychologist, I’m not aware of any well researched tests that look for psychic abilities.
