This may not apply to you but with the active trigger finger I have now I do a lotof hand massage with my other hand to relieve pain. And I developed pain on the back side of my hand. I’m older so I don’t have much depth of skin or muscles there any more and I was rubbing hard - I changed how I was rubbing the palm of my hand so I am not impacting the back side. For me that helped
