My son had the problem, with patches on shirts, polyester stitching on seams and necklines and labels. Cotton was also a better choice. Eventually, we found that somewhat older clothes were better for him; sometimes I did an extra rinse with white vinegar. It is a "typical" condition with those who have sensory differences. I use baby diaper cream for irritated areas.

You mean you put baby diaper cream on the areas that the shirts irritated him?
