Hi lkgraham, I would like to know if you had a good night sleep with Trazadone. Pain doesn't wake me. I will feel so good if I helped.
May I ask, can you please keep me posted in researching.
I take Trazadone when I go to bed. It does help me sleep.
I have taken Ambiem for many years without side effects. Recently I switched to Lunesta with good results!. The symptoms of both Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia both include insomnia. My question, is why when this symptom occurs don't we take something to help.
The next time you are on the drug aisle in any store look and the # of running feet of sleep medicines there are.
We have become so hung up about taking medication that it is redicilus!!
Granted addition to them is real! But I feel the help outweighs the problem!
Every socicity in the world has some sort of addications. Weather it be Coco leaves in Peru, the world addicted to coffee. The world addicited to alchol, Jerry Epstien addidicted to sex.
We need to do what we fell will helps us, But as I found out we need to be aware of what some drugs do to us. Case in point was when I was given Gabapentin. I went into a Spiral. When I realized it and stopped it took a bit but I feel much better. It is up to us to be aware and listen to our body and it behavior.
Thanks,.

@sundance, Good morning. I so appreciate your post. A perfect example is both of us. My experience just flips yours. I had a heck of a ride with Ambien. Gabapentin doesn’t bother me as long as I take it at bedtime. Thanks for sharing and showing how unique our responses can be to medications and even treatments. Just imagine how difficult it is for our providers as they try to help their patients. Have a large dose of happiness today. Chris
@sundance6 I have found that when my immune system is weakened the Lyme disease symptoms creep back in as well. The BCG treatments have everything on fire for now. It is a challenge.
@sundance6 I am with you in regards to medications. Some medications help and allow us to have a better quality to our life. I am thinking of myself right now. I have much pain. I have neuropathy, fibermyalgia and serious foot and back issues. Al very painful and over the counter medications did not offer relief. About 6 years ago my pain management doctor prescribed percocet. I had refused this medication many times, but one time after a very painful month I agreed. I began taking the pills on an as needed basis. I was diagnosed with neuropathy several months ago, but knew I had long before the doctors ordered the nerve conduction test. My pain management doctor increased the mg of the percocets and I am trying to take one before extreme pain hits and usually 3 times a day. I also have my medical marijuana card and and trying to find the right combination so I can decrease the other pain med. That being said my point is. I suffered for so long because I was afraid of addiction, walking the streets looking for drugs and all the things that can happen with opiod addiction. This compounded with the fact that I was an addiction counselor for 28 years. Here I am taking a narcotic and searching for the perfect weed. I ca go to the grocery store by myself, have fun with my grand daughter and great grand daughter and feel a little better about life. So is taking this medication making me a bad person or one doomed to robbing stores, etc. I pray not. I went for my yearly checkup today with my dermatologist. She is an older lady, like me and when I told her I take percocet for pain I thought she might call the percocet police. It makes me think about women who are fighting to refuse medication to help with labor pain. Does experiencing horrendous pain make you a better parent and your child another Einstein. I do not take the drug abuse epidemic lightly. I have seen it's ravish on body, soul and family I do however believe there is also good with bad.
Thanks Chris and Happiness to you! Heading off to my Silver Sneakers Yoga class in a Bit! I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT TO ALL. IT DOES AMAZING THINGS TO THE BODY AND MIND!

Summertime you more than anyone sees addiction! But you also understand the bennifits of medication. So much of what the Media puts out is about what happens on our streets every day! The niddles found in parks and playgrounds. Yes there seems to be young people who don't understand the dangers and OD. Old people to!
An example of what the media does to us. I consider myself pretty astute about these kind of things.
A couple of years ago my wife came down with a mysterious infection. After two days of it she wanted to go to ER. After an hour of her realing in pain after haveing been given Morphine. The Dr. came in and said they were going to giver her Fentynal. I was taken back but didn't say anything. She was on it the rest of the days and days after in ICU.
I'm not sure she would have made it without it. Two years later, 1. she dosen't even remeber being on it! 2. She is not addicted to it or any other Ohpiod!
We need to learn to understand and listen to our bodies. They are amazing Healers.
Thanks,
