Happy(?) Holidays to the Head & Neck Cancer Group

Just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone who contributed to the Head and Neck Cancer group, including this year our Ameloblastoma patients who have found a home and hopefully some help here.
Fighting these difficult to treat cancers especially during the holidays can be likely the most trying time in your life as it certainly was for me. Knowing someone who has had the same or similar experiences certainly can relieve some of the tension associated with treatment and recovery. I for one am blessed to be part of this group who have suffered and healed together, who have helped one another in the finest traditions of humanity.
The attachment of the Ameloblastoma folks brings a much needed voice to this rare but troubling condition and it's treatments. I have learned a lot and shed a tear more than once in the sharing process.
The medical community has made considerable progress in the diagnosis and treatment of SSC particularly when the HPV+16 strain is confirmed, often leading to simpler treatment and recovery. Robotic surgical techniques have vastly improved in the last five years often leading to less invasive yet more complete surgeries.
Thank you all for your contributions to this community. I hope you continue to contribute as this is truly a unique idea we all help with in the medical world, patients helping patients from all around the planet.
