Replies to "long term use of lorazepam is not recommended for long term use."
I found the post....you are now taking Mirtazapine. I started Mirtazapine about 5 weeks ago....after 2 weeks I had to cut pills in half because of severe muscle cramps in my legs....making it hard to walk. After 2 weeks of taking half a pill, I had to stop them completely. Still had alot of leg pain. So that med is not for me. Believe me, I've tried many insomnia meds....and lorazepam and Flurazepam are the only ones that work. I will take lorazepam because it works! And quality of sleep means quality of life!
kawanhee, I know people who have taken Lorazepam longer than 2 years and they are doing great! They have not had to increase their dosage. And the original dose is still working great for them! So that kinda blows your theory/statements about Lorazepam.
Yah...that's what they say...but I know people who have taken in for many years....and there have been people on here who say they have taken it for many years.....with nothing bad happening to them.....maybe for some people it's not good long term ....but for others it's okay, plus it is HELPING them live a better quality of life ...which in my opinion, is the best reason to take it. I should add.....the people I know who have taken it daily for many years are in their late 60's and are on a very low daily dose. 1mg per day. But it helps then tremendously!
