Hi Ronnie, what did you find out about your fall? I can’t remember if you gave me the final diagnosis. I just wanted to write - thinking about you!
How is your day? We started off rainy, but now have blue skies with puffy clouds. I’ve given up hope of any more snow this winter. We were lucky to get 7 inches! (I live near Raleigh, NC). I’m having a very rough day considering how pretty it is outside. The pain is unbelievable. I now have been diagnosed with neuropathy in my feet and legs. I need to see a neurologist because every medicine that I know of, that is used for this, I can’t take for 1 reason or another. The diagnoses keep piling on! That’s life....Karen

Sorry to say that I have the same symptoms and diagnosis and nothing for the pain. This is more than difficult. I have so many things going on at the same time that when I called the Mayo for an appointment they did not know what to make the appointment for. (which catagory or catagories to place me in.) Still looking for a driver anyway. Some how I will figure it out.

Good Morning, Karen!
Sounds like you are a lover of snow. Guess when you don't have to live with much, you can enjoy it when you do get it. As a born and bred northerner, I've lived with snow all my life. Honestly, I don't miss it! I do love the look of a fresh new snow, but I hate the cold, wet and what it does to my body.
Do you have diabeties? Is that why you have neuropathy? I remember my mom developed that when she was going through chemo. It was bothersome at the beginning and then became painful. I did not know that you could take meds for it. Would massage or accupressure help?
As far as my back......when I went to the neurosurgeon for a check up, last week, I saw the PA. She said that the xrays looked the same as the ones I took a couple of months ago (for my regular post op check up). As a matter of practice, she always get a 2nd opinion from the actual surgeon. Well, I got a call from the PA saying that the doc wants an MRI. He seems to think there is more going on. I have new insurance, so now I have to wait for approval (didn't need it before). I hope to have the MRI next week. The PA will call with the results and at that time we will determine if I need to go back in for another exam (this time by the surgeon, I think).
My back has been giving me lots of pain. I think it is a combination of the arthritis, fall and the cooler temps and rain. Yesterday moring was really bad. Feeling better today. Hope you are, too!
Thanks for checking on me!
Isn't life interesting?
Ronnie
