Posted by cincy @cincy, Dec 11, 2023

Has anyone experience some blurry vision after first dose of Evenity and how long does it last????

I didn’t notice any blurry vision. I just finished my year on the Evenity. I hope it goes away soon. Maybe report it to the doctor who administered it or who prescribed the Evenity!

I am going on my 5th injection of Evenity and no blurry vision.

I am hoping to begin Evenity Treatments soon. I would like to get more information from someone who has actually been on this treatment. Have you had many of th side effects listed?

Good to hear. I am a little nervous starting treatments since I am only the third person that my doctor has treated with Evenity. The doctor says all patients have done well on the treatment, but I thought three was kind of a small sample size to base my deision on. He was very hopeful this was the right treament for me.

Hope your treatments continue to go well.

Did the treatment increase bone density? I know this is a new treatment so a little hesitant to start but know I need to do something.

Welcome to Connect @tkronstedt, it looks like you have found the right discussion @tkronstedt. I want to wish you good luck and new bone strength with your choice of Evenity. It is a bit concerning when your doctor has a small sample size of three.

Don't you think that as a specialist, your doctor has done quite a bit of research on the results many patients have had on Evenity. Even though Evenity is the newest medication for osteoporosis, the FDA would not have approved it without a preponderance of positive responses from the clinical trials that are mandatory. The actual medication should have a booklet with it with Prescribing Notes.

Hopefully, another Connect member will be able to share some of the results with you.
Please let me know how you respond to your first injections. Here is the link to the Amgen site for Evenity in case you haven't been there. It does include the Prescribing information.

Amgen has a team of medical professionals available to respond to patient questions and concerns. The number is 800 772 6436. I have found that talking directly to the manufacturer can be very helpful.

May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

No symptoms other than a bit of heat at injection sites.

The injection is a little painful and my arms a little sore but no other issues. I am halfway through! Good luck.
