Tymlos is unaffordable and cardiologist says no to Evenity. What now?

Are you under 65? I don't know much about it but apparently there are coupons. I am Medicare-age and got assistance through Radius Assist, which has an income limit. I got 18months free. Have you tried calling Tymlos or Radius?

How about Forteo; I think it has been around longer than Tymlo (sp)

I had the same problem. I switched to "Prolia" injections once every 6 mos.

Why did your cardiologist say no to Evenity? Do you have heart issues? I’m asking because two different endocrinologists recommended it to me, and I still haven’t decided. I have extra heart beats (benign condition) but a history of heart disease in my family.

I just had my 7th Evenity injections. So far, so good. I met with my cardiologist before I started. He ran some tests and everything was okay. He gave blessing to start evenity.
Because I receive it in an infusion center, Medicare Part B pays 100% of cost.

@lynn59 I have occasional afib but Evenity is okay by my docs.

I felt better reading the studies on effect on cardiovascular health. There was no difference between the Evenity an placebo group. There was a slight difference between the Evenity and alendronate group, but that might have been because alendronate has a slight positive effect.

I found that ironic since another bisphosphonate, Reclast, was at one time considered a risk for afib!

I have been taking Tymlos for 15+ months. I take med for irregular hearbeat. My cardio and endo docs have no conerns.
