@pjpanning

Thanks Colleen, I was thrilled to have my daughter as my donor. I am so proud of her. She is doing great. She is a very healthy strong 37 year old woman. We just hit our 2 months out date yesterday and she says she is pretty much 100%. Of course I was concerned about her, but I felt so confident that she was in good hands. I also am physically feeling great. Amazing how much more energy I have after transplant. I really could tell a difference days after transplant. There are ups and downs with some side affects from the drugs, like interrupted sleep, but these seem to be getting better.

Hi, @pjpanning. I'm glad to see you have found your way to the Connect Transplant Support Group discussions! We met several days ago in the Transplant blog ( I shared the link a few days ago in this group). I will repeat my sentiments of thanks and appreciation to you for accepting to exciting challenge of undergoing the new robotic-assisted kidney transplant at Mayo in Rochester MN. I was impressed to hear of your 2 inch incision with no muscles being cut for the surgery.
Now that you are 2 months post surgery, I suspect that your recovery is following the same path that the rest of us kidney transplant patients experience. I want to invite you to scroll thru the list of transplant support discussions, and to join in anywhere. We would love to walk with you as you continue forward.
