It's exciting to have the person who received the first robotic kidney transplant join the discussions here. Real people with real experience sharing and supporting others who are also waiting transplant, recovering from transplant and living well with transplant.

I can imagine as a mother, you were both thrilled and concerned that your daughter was your donor. How are you doing today? How is she doing?

Thanks Colleen, I was thrilled to have my daughter as my donor. I am so proud of her. She is doing great. She is a very healthy strong 37 year old woman. We just hit our 2 months out date yesterday and she says she is pretty much 100%. Of course I was concerned about her, but I felt so confident that she was in good hands. I also am physically feeling great. Amazing how much more energy I have after transplant. I really could tell a difference days after transplant. There are ups and downs with some side affects from the drugs, like interrupted sleep, but these seem to be getting better.
