Supplements
Hello everyone. Has anyone here ever tried any of these supplements like, " Nuphoria ", " Nerve Renew", or R- Alpha-Lipoic-Acid". Would like to see if someone has actual experience with them. Thank you.

Thanks casd57. Good for you. Glad to hear your progress. I am one who believes these Small Fiber Nerves can heal also. Our bodies are amazing what they can do. I am going to be trying supplements myself. I have been on a Proton Pump Inhibitor for a few years and Ambien for Insomnia. They both can do damage to the nervous system. I am tapering off of them and will be going with natural products. I have not even had heartburn for over a year. Been eating healthy and exercise. One question? Have you ever had burning sensation in your feet? Thanks again. Jerry
Yes. I did. It’s not really a financial lifesaver, but allowed me to start Medicare early, which has been helpful.
No, I just hear a distrust of pharmaceuticals and the companies that sell them. Because I’m a nurse, I am comfortable with taking medications as needed. Every medication starts with a scientist or researcher in a lab. Some may be there because they’ve seen a family member suffer. Others are just super smart and curious about finding solutions. I doubt that they consider themselves part of Big Pharma. They are just creating medications to help people. I’m just glad they are there!
Let’s see, I’ve been in pain for at least 2,848 consecutive days. It’s getting progressively worse. The future is grim. Bring on the meds!
Yes, Burning-pin and needles etc.., are all part of it
Hello julbpat. Thanks for replies. Do you or John know if there is a forum on here with
neuropathy success stories? Thanks
Hi Jerry, Lots of different folks have shared what has helped them in many different discussions. I highly recommend Cleveland Clinic. I was diagnosed with SFN at the beginning of COVID in 2020. My Dr. at CC was excellent; she called me since I couldn't keep my appt bc of COVID and she diagnosed me over the phone, however, I did go the the Clinic for tests to determine for sure it was SFN. I am having a terrible time finding a good neurologist so basically I have been untreated for the last 3 years. I did have one Dr. that prescribed gabapentin. I have an appt this month to see a new Dr. Btw, the neurologist that diagnosed me was Julia Bucklan at Cleveland Clinic. She is wonderful When she called me; she stayed on the phone with me for an hour asking many questions to determine what was wrong with me.
Thanks for reply. 3 years? Gabapentin doesn't help mine. Do you get burning in feet and ankles, shins, calves?
No burning, just pain, but not all the time, which I am thankful for.
Thanks for reply. Good for you. Awesome.
