I was thinking pinched nerve in the spine where you have the bulging discs. I believe that can cause nerve pain in the legs and elsewhere and depends on the nerves that are involved.

Thanks John. I kind of thought it would be from my back also. Reason being is that my feet NEVER burn at different times. Always the same time. So let's say it was small fiber neuropathy, how would both feet burn at same time always? Surely one foot can't tell the other , hey it's time to burn. My MRI does show my 4 bulging disc pressing on my sciatic nerve. Only way to fix this would be back surgery I suppose. What Brand of the lipoic acid do you take? Thanks. Jerry
