I understand what you are doing by listening this program. I listen to tv on comedy channels while sleeping. Can't say if that makes me wake a happy person, but if tv goes off, I wake up. My mind is always processing issues, problems, the world and the crazy and evil stuff. It does not shut down at bedtime. I was so upset the other evening with my brain, I turned on cartoon network. While I watch tv I am also doing stuff on my laptop. I somehow can have breakthrough of sorting stuff in my head at the same time. It is sick! I have always found that when I am angry I work physically (cleaning, mowing, sewing, building things) like a crazy person. Impossible at bedtime. I do have access to meds to sleep and I would like to stop that. It has been attempted numerous times and all I did was lay there and get madder and madder. I think what ever works do it. If I could hit myself in the head with a hammer nightly and sleep peacefully I may would give it a shot. This has been a lifelong problem for me. I just bought a weighted blanket, but I haven't tried it yet.

You need to watch things that don’t speed up your metabolism. I like the abide channel on YouTube. I listen to the fall asleep meditation it really does work. It got me off of my sleeping pills. You have to get off of them slowly.
