Thank you for reaching out to me. Recovery did not go well after transplant. I had a lot of issues, just one thing after another happened. When I was finally released things were better and I thought ok I’m going to be ok. But for the past few weeks I have went into full rejection. They keep increasing my medication, but my numbers keep climbing. Don’t know if you’re a religious person, but if so please say a prayer for me.

@melissa0919 I am so sorry to hear that you are coping with early rejection. I am 2 years post liver transplant (deceased donor) and my first two weeks in the hospital were very difficult and I thought, why did I think I could make it out of here alive? The immediate aftermath of a liver transplant - first 3 months esp- I think are always hard, but for you it is harder. One thing I’ve been told by my team is one of the greatest advancements in transplant medicine is the ability to cope with rejection much better. I am a spiritual person and I will pray for you. Please let us know how you are.
